John Kameaaloha Almeida

Out of stock

Blinded in his youth, John Kamea`aloha Almeida was rakishly handsome, a gifted prodigy, a master musician, poet, teacher, singer, composer, arranger and entertainer. Many of his compositions were exclusively in Hawaiian, a rarity at the time and he is known as “The Dean of Hawaiian Music.”

This beautifully packaged CD preserves the mele (music) and shares the mo`olelo (story) of one of the most important and popular figures in Hawaiian music.

Included are 22 Almeida songs… plus lyrics, translations, rare photos, extensive anecdotes and historical information.
